AR RAHMAN will perform live at the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games, says Organising Committee chairman Suresh Kalmadi.
“It will be a huge event involving Bollywood celebrities. AR Rahman has composed the theme song for the CWG, and he will be singing live on the opening day.
We will release the song in advance, because when Rahman sings in the stadium, we want the whole stadium to sing along,” said Kalmadi. Incidentally, Rahman’s also topped a poll as the world’s most downloaded Indian artiste.
