Rumours About SRK Acting In KJo`s Next

karan-johar-and-shah-rukh-khan

Speculations were rife that Karan Johar’s next will be shot without his favorite star Shah Rukh Khan. However it now seems that the news was nothing but a mere rumour. If the latest reports are any indication, then Shah Rukh Khan will play a significant role in Karan Johar’s next film.

Earlier it was reported that SRK was just to play a cameo in the film ‘Student of the Year’, being directed by KJo who is launching Mahesh Bhatt’s daughter Aalia along with David Dhawan’s son Varun.

However, Karan ramped up old friend Khan’s performance from a cameo to a much bigger role, most likely of a professor.

Speaking to a daily, a source said, “Rumours about SRK acting in KJo`s next had been doing the rounds but Karan`s constant silence about the film started giving people the impression that SRK was only planning to produce the film.”

“But actually, both SRK and Karan are co-producing the film, which will launch newcomers Varun Dhawan , Siddarth Malhotra and Aaliya Bhatt. SRK will play the role of one of the professors in the college. The role will not be limited to a cameo; it will be full-fledged one,” the source said.

KJo is said to have taken a month-long break to travel abroad, where he would be finishing the script and flesh out SRK’s character for the film.

SRK Wants All His Friends Back

SRK

Seems like SRK wants all his friends back! In a candid confession on Karan Johar’s Koffee with Karan, the actor for the first time accepted that "if Farah, Salman were not talking to him, it was probably his fault".

While this season’s Koffee with Karan is in news for caustic comments made by people in the entertainment industry, SRK who made a solo appearance on the show took it as an opportunity to convey to his ’frenemies’ that he was more than willing to bury the hatchet.

It may be recalled that SRK has been losing friends since a long time, and is now left with very few of them. A spat with Salman on Katrina’s birthday has left Salman still fuming. His relations also soured with friend Farah over Tees Maar Khan.

A source informs Mumbai Mirror, "Shah Rukh said that if they weren’t talking to him, it could probably be his fault."

The statement has shocked the channel officials and other people associated with the programme. Has it shocked you?

Karan Johar Was Offered The Role Of A Wife Beater

Karan-Johar1

Known for making family entertainers, Karan Johar was left shell-shocked after he was offered the role of a wife beater and a sex maniac opposite Priyanka Chopra in Vishal Bhardwaj’s Saat Khoon Maaf. Bhardwaj was keen to cast KJo as a wife-beater to add curiosity element to his film.

Consequently, he requested Priyanka to use her influence on Johar to make him accept the role.

A source told Mid Day, "Vishal requested his heroine to put in a word. She promptly did."

But she couldn’t persuade him to accept the outrageous role. Though amused by the offer he declined saying, "From what angle do I look like a wife-beater?

And how could I enact a scene making love to Priyanka Chopra! And that too as a sex maniac! There is no way I could do this," reports the tabloid.

After the setback, Vishal finally cast Irrfan Khan for the role.

Karan Johar To Remake Raavan As My Name Is Raavan

Director Ram Gopal Varma has infuriated Karan Johar again by expressing a desire to remake `Raavan` as `My Name Is Raavan`.

The two filmmakers, who make no secret of their dislike, used Twitter to hit back at each other.

"I want to remake Raavan and I want to request Mani to remake Aag," Varma wrote about Mani Ratnam`s `Raavan`.

"I got a better idea.. I will make `My Name Is Raavan` and Mani should make `Raavan ki Kurbaan`," said Varma, taking a pot shot at Karan Johar`s recently released films `My Name Is Khan` and `Kurbaan`.

Varma also commented on Shah Rukh Khan`s upcoming superhero film `Ra.1`.

"Let`s all hope and pray that Raa.1 does not become SRK ki Baarish," he added.

To which, Johar tweeted: "@RGVzoomin...you have an amazing sense of humour ramu!! Never shows up in your films though."

Not the one to be left behind, Varma shot back, "@kjohar25 ha ha karan because of the constant bashing I receive I developed my sense of humour as a defense mechanism (sic)."

The whole argument started when Varma commented on the unfavourable reactions to Ratnam`s latest film.

"I have to bear with my flops and then also with everyones flops because whenever whoever`s flop comes they invariably compare it with Aag. For Tashan they said it`s Aditya ki Aag. For Chandni Chowk... they said Akshay ki Aag. For Kites they said Hritik ki Aag and now its Mani (Ratnam) ki Aag," the director said.

"Well am happy that if not for anything else I at least set a bench mark for flops. Also I realised that now `Aag` has become more popular then `Sholay`...that is because a hit like Sholay comes once in a life time and a flop like `Aag` comes every few months," he added.

The war-of-words between Varma and Johar is not new. It all started when Varma remarked that the scariest film he had ever seen was `Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna`. The comment didn`t go down well with Johar.
