26-year-old Yahyra Erica Nego was the winner.


1st Runner-up was Jennifer Amegbor; while Angelica Alomele was the 2nd Runner-up.

Erica is half German and half Ghanian, she will represent Ghana in Miss Universe 2011 pageant.

Miss Universe Ghana 2011

Yayra Erica Nego (26, Plymouth) was selected Miss Universe Ghana 2011 from a casting held at the Movenpik Ambassador Hotel in Accra. She will represent Ghana in Miss Universe 2011. The first runner-up was Jennifer Amegbor and the second runner-up was Angelica Alomele.

Born and raised in Minnesota, Nego was the state representative in Miss USA 2009 and finished as a semifinalist. This is the second year in a row than an American with Ghanaian ancestry competes in Miss Universe.

Road to Miss World 2011

Nomasondo Mphakisoane was crowned Miss Lesotho 2011/Face of Lesotho 2011 at the national finale held at the Lesotho Sun Hotel in Maseru. Mphakisoane of Maseru is 24 year old. She is a student of Business Management at the National University of Lesotho. She will represent Lesotho in Miss World 2011 in London, England on November 6. Mmasefo Mokoma was the first runner-up and Paballo Mokoqo was the second runner-up

Road to Miss Brazil World

Kessia Cortez, 20, Miss Goianinha, won the Miss World Rio Grande do Norte 2011 title at the Vila do Mar hotel in Natal. She was crowned by Kamilla Salgado, Miss World Brazil 2011. The 1st runner-up is Miss Caico, Ana Clara.




Miss Ceara-Mirim, was the 2nd runner-up, Miss Sao Miguel was the 3rd runner-up, and the Miss Natal was the 4th runner-up.

Kessia was also the winner of Miss Congeniality award.

Miss Brazil World 2011 will be held on August 13 at the Hotel do Frade, in Angra dos Reis.

Miss USA® 2011 Contestants Photoshoot at the Palms Place Pool

The 51 contestants taking part in the Miss USA® 2011 pageant gathered in Las Vegas this weekend to kickstart the activities that will last for two weeks, concluding with the crowning of a new titleholder on June 19th. On Sunday, the beauties took part in a photoshoot at the Palms Place pool in the Palms hotel.
