The Bombay High Court Wednesday asked the information and broadcasting ministry to serve a show cause notice to entertainment channel Colors over the content and timings of its reality show "Bigg Boss" to enable it present its viewpoint on the matter.

"In our petition to the honourable court, we had asked to be given a fair hearing by the I&B (information and broadcasting) ministry to understand our viewpoint and accordingly clarify our stance on I&B ministry’s objection to ’Bigg Boss’," a channel source told IANS.

"Today the honourable court has asked the I&B ministry to serve us a show cause notice on this matter and give us an opportunity to present our viewpoint on the same," the source added.

The I&B ministry also confirmed the development.

The ministry last month directed Colors to change the telecast timings of "Bigg Boss" from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. following viewers’ complaints of vulgarity.

"Bigg Boss" was, however, allowed to continue with its normal timings of 9 p.m. till Dec 3. It filed a petition in the high court soon after.

"Bigg Boss" features a group of celebrity participants locked up in a house for three months without any access to the outside world, including to newspapers or television.

Former "Baywatch" star Pamela Anderson is finally adding some spice to Indian reality show "Bigg Boss 4". After gyrating to Bollywood number ’Dhak dhak karne lagaa’, she went ahead and sunbathed with actor Ashmit Patel.

Anderson, who entered the show Tuesday night, wore a short blue spaghetti top teamed with skin tight shorts as she sunbathed in the garden of the "Bigg Boss" house in Lonavala, said a source.

Ashmit, her biggest fan in the house, joined her. He chose to remain bare bodied, and wore a blue and fluorescent orange trunks.

Ever since Anderson entered the show, Ashmit and model Hrishant Goswami have been smitten by her, and trying to gain attention.

In the meantime, the 43-year-old international star, as been trying everything Indian - including the dress, food and the typical Bollywood dance.

She wore a sari with bindi, bangles and jhumkas for her entry on the show, and even gorged on paranthas. For one of the tasks on the show, Anderson even learned Bollywood moves to Madhuri Dixit’s sensational song "Dhak dhak karne lagaa".

The Bombay High Court Thursday stayed till Monday a central government order directing Colors TV to change the broadcast timings of its popular reality show "Bigg Boss", the channel said.

The order of the information and broadcasting ministry has been stayed till Monday when Colors channel’s petition will be heard.

Till then, "Bigg Boss" will continue to be telecast in the prime time slot of 9 p.m., according to a company spokesperson.

The government Wednesday directed Colors and Imagine TV channels to change the broadcast timings of their shows - "Bigg Boss" and "Rakhi Ka Insaaf" - to a late night slot following complaints of vulgarity.

Former "Baywatch" star Pamela Anderson’s hyped entry, coupled with a heated argument between contestants Dolly Bindra and Sameer Soni, has generated maximum Television Rating Points (TRPs) for Colors’ reality show "Bigg Boss 4".

The episode featuring the two sensational developments was showcased Wednesday, and ended up generating a rating of 4.8, according to data provided by overnight television viewership tracker Audience Measurement and Analytics (aMap).

This is the highest TRP for the show - beating even its 3.6 rating for the launch episode, as well as the 4.4 rating garnered by the Sara Khan-Ali Merchant wedding episode.

Anderson, popular for her sex appeal, is on the show for three days. She looked sensational in a white sari with a provocative blouse and teamed it with jhumkas, bangles and bindi to add an Indian touch.

The 43-year-old caused a lot of excitement for Hrishant Goswami and Ashmit Patel. She greeted everyone with a "Namaste".

Before her entry, a lot of drama had already happened on the show. Sameer and Dolly, who have now been evicted from the show, were on the verge of a physical fight owing to a verbal fight between Dolly and Shweta Tiwari.

"Bigg Boss" is currently under the scanner of the ministry of information and broadcasting (I&B) for its adult content.
