BIOGRAPHY:

Vũ Thị Hoàng My (vũ ti hwœŋ mi)born in 1988, Year of the Dragon, in Đồng Nai Province, Vietnam is a Vietnamese beauty pageant titleholder who was first runner-up of Miss Vietnam 2010 and will represent Vietnam in the Donald Trump sponsored Miss Universe 2011 pageant in Sao Paulo, Brasil on September 12, 2011.[3] She is increasing activity in her public life and is currently attending RMIT International University, Vietnam, where she is a multimedia and design student. She speaks Vietnamese, English and is studying Portuguese.
Vũ Thị Hoàng My, which translates in English to “Golden Feather of a Bird,” was born into a family of head masters, educators, architects and agriculturalists. It was this early framework that influenced her at young age to be a great supporter of lifelong learning, literature, the arts and nature. Her early life was spent at Dong Nai province in South Eastern, Vietnam, where foreign investment in the primary and secondary sectors of the economy has been heavy since the Vietnamese Government’s Đổi Mới (English: Renovation) economic policy of the late 1980s.
As a high school student, she sat as representative on social committees and the governing student body at Thống Nhất A highschool. She was also a member of Girl Guides, as well as participating in various extracurricular activities, including volleyball, badminton and feathershuttle, the Vietnamese variety of Hacky Sack.
Hoang My is currently a multimedia design student at RMIT University, Saigon South Campus in Ho Chi Minh City. She aspires to be a movie director in order to “send a message through colorful images, full of sound, to express the beauty of the creative life and create a virtuous space in the world for all humans to feel better.”
