Roadies Will Face To Face With Vijender Singh

All the remaining Roadies will have to box their way through the next task as they come face to face with the ’hurricane from Haryana’, Vijender Singh!

The Olympic medallist will rain a few blows on the contestants as they try their best to survive three rounds of the deadly fight with Singh. Called ’Hell in a Cell’, the task promises to be an edge of the seat affair with the boxing champion occupying centre stage.

Though he has been seen before on programmes such as 10 Ka Dum and Nach Baliye, this is the first time that Vijender Singh will make an appearance on the biking based reality show.

Shiney Ahuja Challenging His Conviction For The Rape

Actor Shiney Ahuja Tuesday moved the Bombay High Court challenging his conviction for the rape of his maid in June 2009.

’Justice A R Joshi admitted the appeal challenging Shiney’s conviction by a sessions court, which sentenced him to seven years rigorous imprisonment,’ said his lawyer Shrikant Shivade.

Shivade also said that they have filed a bail application pending hearing of the appeal. ’It is likely to come up for hearing on April 27,’ he said.

A Mumbai sessions court on March 30 sentenced the actor to seven years in jail after finding him guilty of raping his maid.

Ahuja was arrested June 15, 2009 after medical tests on the maid confirmed sexual assault. The Bombay High Court had granted him bail in October 2009.

Over a year after accusing Ahuja of raping her, the maid, in September 2010, told the court that the rape never took place, though the medical examination had confirmed rape.

Amitabh Expressed Heartfelt Condolences For Bhawani Singh

Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan expressed heartfelt condolences after the sad demise of the last Maharaja of Jaipur Bhawani Singh in his blog post the other day.

Offering rich tribute to the late king, Big B described him as "humble, caring and considerate”.

Talking about the Jaipur royal family, especially Bhawani Singh, Big B wrote, "When we lived in Delhi at 13, Willingdon Crescent, a road that ran along the boundary of the President of India`s house, Bubbles would often drive past in his Ford Thunderbird convertible--a most favoured car with the young of those times. And as I would be walking across to South Avenue, some 100 yards away, to catch my college bus for University, I would see him impeccably dressed in his uniform, driving along and would wonder if I would ever be able to someday get a ride in it."

Recalling his first meeting with Singh while shooting for his film ‘Ganga ki Saugandh` in Jaipur, Bachchan says, "After joining the movies, I happened to shoot for Ganga ki Saugandh` in Jaipur and met him and spent quite a bit of time in his company and his polo buddies. A smaller palace of his that had been opened and refurbished for the Queen of England`s visit, was now converted into a private hotel and we were staying there."

"One evening he invited us over to a party at his friend`s place and graciously offered to drive us there. Yes & you got it & it was that Ford Thunderbird that I used to see him in with envy," Big B posted in his blog bigb.bigadda.com.
